All evaluations at Precision Neuropsychology Services begin with a clinical interview.
Patients will meet one-on-one with Dr. Childs to review their areas of concern and general history. After the interview, most patients will complete a series of standardized tests tailored to answer questions or concerns raised during the interview.
Neuropsychological Assessment
Neuropsychological assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive functioning.
Each evaluation is individually tailored to provide a detailed picture of cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities to support diagnosis, clarify prognosis, and inform treatment planning. These evaluations are often sought for individuals with known or suspected neurological conditions.
Psychological Evaluation
Psychological evaluation provides a comprehensive assessment of emotional and behavioral functioning. Evaluation often involves testing to help characterize mood, aspects of personality, and behavioral symptoms to provide diagnostic clarity and support treatment planning.
Forensic and Legal Services
We provide objective, independent neuropsychological evaluation for legal and forensic contexts including personal injury litigation, traumatic brain injury claims, workers' compensation, and disability determinations. We work with both plaintiff and defense counsel and are committed to thorough, defensible evaluation and clearly written reports regardless of the retaining party.
Pre-Surgical Evaluation
Neuropsychological and/or psychological clearance is needed for certain medical and surgical procedures.
Pre-surgical evaluations seek to provide necessary information to a patient's treatment team to help inform surgical decision making.
Psychoeducational Testing
Psychoeducational assessment is available on a selective basis for adults seeking evaluation for learning disabilities or attention disorders. These evaluations provide can diagnostic clarity and the documentation needed for academic accommodations, professional licensing boards, and occupational settings.
Fitness for Duty Evaluation
Fitness for duty evaluations help determine whether an individual can safely and effectively perform the essential functions of their job when questions have been raised about cognitive or psychological functioning. Testing is tailored to help assess whether or not an individual is able to meet the specific demands of their job.
